About Our Ministry

The ACCSRD is a Spanish acronym for "Alliance Against Sex Trafficking in the Dominican Republic". We are a Christian ministry who aims to empower survivors of sexual victimization to find a sense of safety, a sense of belonging, a sense of achievement, a sense of power, and a sense of purpose.  Here are some ways we are doing this:
  • Outreach ministry:  Our team members work with area women who are in prostitution through evangelism, discipleship, and job training to help these women to leave prostitution and start a new life.  We also work to help the families of the women by assisting with childcare, home donations, and parenting training.
  • Prevention and Awareness:  We are working with local at-risk girls to teach them about their rights as females and to help educate them about sexual abuse and sex trafficking.  We also hope to use our blog and facebook page to educate others about human trafficking and what can be done about it.
  • Our safehouse: We are currently in the process of starting a safehouse for minors who are victims of sex trafficking or child prostitution.  This is a new ministry and we are seeking prayer, help, and financial support with this ministry.
